Hockey cannot be played without officials. Officiating is the gas that gets the proverbially motor to run. For those that want to put on that striped sweater and lead the way, the following steps outline the process for you to register for the upcoming season.

Step 1: Complete Hockey University - Required for all NEW (first-time) officials
Step 2: Criminal Record Check - Required for all officials 18 years or older as of Dec
Step 3: Clinic Registration - Required annually for all new and returning officials
 
Clinic Registration

Officials are required to complete certification for the upcoming season before they are eligible to officiate. Should an official be a returning official from the previous season, they will be permitted to officiate under that certification until they attend a clinic the season under last season’s certification status (expiring December 31).
